Super tired, gotta sleep but want to wind down a bit more after a loooooong day and want to post my workout. Today was, as the subject line implies, Complete Aerobics and Weight Training. Good, solid workout. Almost an hour long alternating lower and upper body and combined upper & lower plus 4 limbed aerobics and abs ( a really good abs section and I did really good with it, hooray). I felt like I was really working, but not dying (most of the time anyway, those darn leg presses are still so hard) and enjoying it. Decent music too. Welsh leads this one and I don't know why, because her cueing is very good, but I do not click with her at all. She looks and sounds like a very serious 12 year old to me. Very serious. She "woo hoos" a couple of times (not annoying) and it seems genuine, but most of the rest of the time she sounds more like she's reading from a script (which I do realize the FIRM instructors do but they don't all sound like they do) and not really enjoying the workout herself. I got plenty lost during some of the cardio intervals (there's some on the step, on the floor and combined) but kept up okay with better than half of it. Most of the workout is more scultping than cardio (but with an increased heartrate because you're doing upper & lower combined and/or you keep moving) though so that helped with the calorie burn. Mostly a fun workout, except when I got totally lost on some of the steps. Tomorrow is a rest day on the Bikini Bootcamp schedule and I'm taking advantage of it to get my grocery shopping done during my usual workout time (which actually is ideal because the rest of the week is nuts too), then after work I'm making rainbow cupcakes (multicolored cupcakes) for our St. 's Day dessert (no special green or Irish dinner, just a cute dessert and I'll put green food coloring in the kids' milk too). I'm very proud of myself for getting this workout in today. I left for work around 6 AM, had a school meeting after the WW class I did, met my dad for lunch a half hour away and then had less than an hour between getting home and getting back from school and then needed to get dinner together as Miriam came home and then dashed off for another school meeting. This was truly the perfect day NOT to work out but I had it on my schedule to do it and I'm fired up about the rotation right now so, like the old Nike commercial says, I just did it. It feels great but wow am I tired now (from the whole day and the time change too). If I could get a workout in today, I have NO excuses for most other days. I just have to remember I said that!
