I've reviewed this before so I'll just add a few comments from today's workout. Janet is excellent as lead! She really works you too. It is only 33 minutes but you can make it tough by using heavy weights (true of most FIRM workouts). I did today and felt my arms for a while. I went up from what I'd done last time I did this (my first time, this was my 2nd) and it felt really good. She moves pretty quickly but, as long as you're not writing down weights (like I was) it is easy to keep up. One thing is that for some exercises, I could go heavier than I did but since she does some exercises in rapid succession with others exercises (no weight change), I needed to go slightly lower because the next one up calls for the same weight. I forgot about that so I had to lower weights within a segment sometimes but made note of it on my sheet. It wasn't a huge difference though so using the slightly lower weight won't hurt anything with the first exercise in the segment. There are a lot of pushups and triceps dips in this one including some really interesting variations using the Fanny Lifter (which I described in my first review). Various people show beginner, intermediate and advanced versions. I did mostly advanced and some intermediate (esp. intermediate for the pushups but I tried advanced first) but this is very doable for beginners and those afraid of pushups, I think. The pushups are thrown in 3 different places throughout the workout. It was very fun and perfect for a busy day like today. Running to work now!
