Yes, Jeanine brings up a good point. It could

have been a difference in humidity. The cigar

smell in my great aunt's house had disappeared

due to me keeping humidity under 50% and when

humidity crept above 50% accidentally for a few

days, cigar smell returned, so that it could have

been weather conditions when you first moved in.

Consider whether it was a dry fall or winter or

hot muggy summer day that you moved in, etc.

1.I also relate hotter and more humid weather to a more stronger

smell.

I know that I cannot aways trust my nose, sometimes its

oversensative and other times I cant smell anything, but still have

the reactions. I have noticed that even with some less reactive

enviroments my nose becomes quickly stuffed up and my voice changes

to that stuffed up sound like holding your nose. I also know that if

I dont wash my sinuses this can bring on a sinus headacke or

infection.I've been through what your talking about too. I thought it

may depended on the same condictions that cause a mold air test

shows different amounts at different times. the weather, if mold is

wet, or growing, or dry, if theres a draft stirring things up, etc. I

haven't been out to my 2nd. home for a while but theres times I know,

that you can smell it from outside the home, and times you cant. so

I'm guessing it might have something to do with what the mold is

doing. I also relate hotter and more humid weather to a more stronger

smell.
