Guest guest
I'm upset now HUD said they where going to send a mold inspector that was what I called them about nothing else. they sent and HUD inspector that knows nothing about Nothing. when I moved into my place two screen needed to be put on the windows to this day no screens and there was and inspector before I moved in and a few since I've moved in. I told them and the Landlord about the problems to this day nothing has been done. I've also told the Landlord and HUD about the Air-Condition system if I put it on I can't walk on my own Nothing has been done over a year latter!?. if I put it in writing I'm surely on the Street that will happen any way if I don't get help before? I moved in the end of March so I would have to move by the end of Feb. Before I moved into a place 4/15/04 had to be out by 4/1/05 it was and awful place. Florida rent Finder placed me there on purpose go figure and I was Pushed by the Guy that managed Florida rent finders Long story. HUD Told me I had to call the County I did they said no one could do a thing you get the run around the inspector that come his name was Adam Rose they know nothing about mold. I took his Picture then called HUD my worker said I wasn't told they where going to send a mold tester. I was socked if I call about one problem why send someone that doesn't know a thing about the problem and if the inspectors in the past hasn't done a thing, Why send them out I don't get it. the Mold tester I have to call knows the one I've used in the past. the NAACP sent here she never come to Boca To test anything for me. In Boca I didn't have this type of problem 1994 to 2002 never saw mold just the smell. They fixed it removed the carpet I got better but other things was going on from the first year I moved in the People use to come to me with their problems I started going to the HUD meetings. I was harassed for years. HUD Told me to call the Miami Office 305-536-4443 talked to Brain Gilmore he said the Supervisor was too busy they say they will call me back tomorrow funny thing it's also in their Building. they are working in it and it's bad very bad in the City Building HUD is on the second floor Hummmmmm. Elvira Letter To HUD Housing Date: Mon, 1 Mar 2004 10:28:34 -0500 February 21, 2004 Housing Authority Attention: Goombs RE: Elvira Dear Mr. Goombs, I have attempted many times to resolve this issue between HUD and myself. I hoped that HUD would clean up their mess since it was them that approved me living in the apartment that was full of mold. Still they act as if I am crazy. It is a known fact the HUD allows their clients to move into situations such as this one MOLD. Having a voucher should not allow HUD to have the right to make decisions that would cause a person harm to their health or property. As I stated in my previous letters, I have been living under HUD in both Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale for the past ten years. Fort Lauderdale is far worse and a change is needed. HUD?s inspectors need to be better trained! They need to know what to look for but because they are not trained properly, the tenets are suffering with their health. We all know that there is mold in HUD approved houses, apartments, etc. Now, what are you going to do about it? I am sick in my body from this mold and I am sick of having to play this tennis game with HUD to get them to do what they should have done many months ago which is to have my belongings cleaned. I had to wait for HUD to approve the apartment before I moved in and since they gave the okay, it is their responsibility to get this mold out of my things. I have not asked you for an unreasonable compensation. I have only asked that you clean my property and to find me a clean place to live without any mold. I have forwarded several notes from my doctors concerning the severity of me living in mold and the illness that I now have because of it. No one has taken my doctors or myself seriously. As my doctor previously stated, I need a live-in assistant to help me due to my condition. A two bedroom\two bath apartment with tile is necessary for me. I have checked out HUD listings and the apartments that I looked at looked like something in the " lowest of income " areas. Is this why nothing is being done to these apartments because you allow them to be listed under HUD?s name? If so, then shame on HUD. Shame on HUD. When are you really going to care about the people. Right before departmental changes\elections or must you wait for many others to suffer? I would like to remind you of my story: I have been sexually harassed twice in Boca Raton (police records are on file), effected by mold in the Tennis Club, and I?ve overpaid my rent the entire time I was there; which to this day has not been refunded to me. You have record that fraud has been perpetrated against me as well as the evictions that are filed on me while living under HUD not to mention I always have paid my rent on time. (I was told that HUD pays the rent late each month which was one reason I believe I was evicted once before but most of all it was the Mold). I feel like the system has taken advantage of myself and others. Ms. Kay Baxter, HUD?s attorney, offered me $400 Shame on You, but there was no one willing to clean all my property for that little money. If HUD can find someone who is willing to clean my things for that amount of money, then please do so. I waited for HUD to come to my rescue but while waiting for HUD, I was evicted and my things were thrown out to the street. I had no where to go although I have a Lease and keys to a house. I could not do anything but someone was willing to help me save some of my stuff and I am still waiting for HUD to have it cleaned so I can get on with my life. I will continue to address this issue until it is resolved. HUD needs to step up to the plate and do what is right I'm Homeless all because they didn't want to expose the Mold this could happen to you the people that live at the Tennis Club 2 701 N.W.19th St Owners! I was the only one there that had a Voucher and was Harrassed the hold time I lived there.Think about it you can rent to one of those owner!!! and they can say the Mold come from you, then what are you going to do? waite until this happen to you? what ever happen down here on the ground!!!! what goes up? or!!!!! THE LONE RANGER.
