Guest guest
The headline MAY be accurate--but I give VERY low points for credibility to Kolata. Had it been Angier or Lawrence Altman, I'd be more inclined to believe it. Kolata f'd up every single article she wrote about HIV/AIDS, she's a right wing dingbat (I discovered later) and also went on to announce that angiogenesis inhibitors were the cure for cancer (i suspect she had stock options). She is one of the worst journalists on the planet.Meantime, review the ORIGINAL article.http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2812%2960312-2/fulltextAlready, reading just the abstract, you can see that her blanket statement/title is utterly misleading. Is anything written in this dreary drivel of Kolata's relevant to low HDL seen in HIV? Probably not. Low levels are probably a bad idea in terms of cardiovascular health. M.
