Guest guest
Hi. Was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of celiac disease and it's relation to IgA and IGG? > > Hi. Checking in after several months of not posting. My 10 yr old has Selective IgA Deficiency. My 12 yr old has been having stomach issues, and in frustration I asked them to test for several things, including IgA and celiac disease. 2 of the 3 for celiac disease came back negative, but he tested positive for a low level of gliadin peptide antibody. When I looked this up, the information talked about IgA and IGG. Now, I think some of these things can run in families. While they said his IgA was fine, they didn't test IGG. Does anyone have any experience with this gliadin peptide antibody? > > I know a lot of immune issues are related. He has had exczema in the past, but apparently once you have it you are always subject to it? He also has asthma. > > Thanks! > > , Mom to , 10, Selective IgA, Asthma and Connor, 12 >
