Guest guest Posted April 14, 2010 Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 laura, lots of carbs!! pizza crust is evil...but so good. everyone slips on the eating part of life every so often. glad to hear you are forging ahead:) the class is the highlight of my week-starts at 6:30pm and ends around 8. the same people--one guy, one girl, myself, teacher and her husband--5 of us. a nice small group. the we open with quiet meditation, short mantra tuning in and breathing--the breath of fire and (this week) sitali breathing. seated spinal warm-ups, twists, triangle pose (downward dog). self adjustment to the spine which consists of tree pose, crow squats, buttocks bounce, and side stretches. did a series of forward bends/hip openers. then the 11 minutes of chanting-this week was a healing meditation ra ma da sa (sa say so hung) translation of the words--sun energy, moon energy, earth energy, infinity universal energy, the personal embodiment of sa, personal sense of merger with sa, the infinite vibrating and real). then a fairly lengthy relaxation which ends with a gong-signaling it is time to sit up and meditate quietly for a while and then the ending song: long time sun: " may the long time sun shine upon you all the love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on " sat nam (truth is my identity) stacey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
