Hi Everyone,

This morning I did a run/walk on the TM. Did a 10 minute warm-up gradually increasing the pace. Then, I alternated 1 minute of running/jogging with 90 seconds of walking. I did that for 20 minutes, then cooled down, gradually decreasing the pace for 5 minutes. I did 3.5 miles in 35 minutes.

After that, I did an oldie - QuickFix Pilates - I don't think there are any new QuickFix workout out there anymore. This one was lead by York. It is on the "Balanced Blend" DVD which also contains some Quick Fix Yoga routines. I did 3 out of the 4 Pilates routines on this DVD. They were definately more beginner as the pace was slower and there was more instruction - but with Pilates, sometimes slowing it down and taking the speed and momentum out of the movement works you harder than you would think. Anyway, this is a good routine that presents the Pilates basics. The first section is mat work for the abs, second section is lower body using the Pilates side series, third section is a "total" body routine that focuses quite a bit on extension moves, which are good for my personal situation! leads and does a good job cueing and instructing. There are two backgrounders, one shows

modifications.

Tomorrow I plan to do a strength routine, just not sure which one. I have definatly enjoyed rotating through my QuickFix and 10 Min. Workouts, I plan to use them some mroe next week, but really may take things down a level so I can start the FIRM rotation on Easter Sunday.

Take care!Donna
