Guest guest
I am looking over my son's test results again and noticed something that the doctor and I missed. The lab report his flow cytometry based on adult levels and then had a chart below for kids to interpret the results. The dr had scanned the results quickly and since it hadn't flagged (because of the adult chart) did not see these were off. His cd3cd8% is low @18% (normal 27-35%) cd3cd8 abs is low @414 (normal 600-900) cd4:cd8 ratio=2.5 (normal is 1.1-1.4) Does anyone know what this means? Low cd3 and cd8 levels and a high cd4:cd8 ratio? His other abnormal results were: IgG: 520 (normal bottom end was 640) IgM: 40 (normal bottom was 50) IgG subclass 1 & 3 were right at the bottom normal Diptheria ab was very low@ .018 (normal >.099) Tetanus ab was ok All serotypes of pneumococcal antibodies were very low or <.2 which was negative. The only protective ones were type 1 & 5 Blood count had high lymphocytes as usual. No proliferation to Candida Antigen Diminished to ConA Mitogen Thanks, Grace 13 Caelan 11 (immune def, asthma, severe allergies) Ian
