So, I've been lurking about for a few days. You people are hardcore! I mean that in the nicest possible way!I'm almost 49, married, one teenage child. I've been loading the pounds onto my 5'8 " body for about 15 years now. I was always slender before I hit my middle 30s and then I started to resemble my apple-shaped parents. I got up to a little over 200 pounds. Having my weight start with a " 2 " pushed me up off the couch, even though I am lucky to be healthy in every other way: good blood tests, blood pressure, etc.

Since mid-December, I've been trying to get some kind of exercise at least 5 days a week. Much of that exercise is from DVDs. Beginnerish stuff like Sansone, for the most part. But I am already collecting a pretty impressive workout DVD library. And reading posts here isn't making the " want " list any shorter!

Anyhow, I'm down about 10 pounds and am now weighing in at (gulp) 191.5. Slow and steady. I'm not really dieting. Just trying to eat better food and move around more.I'm enjoying what I have read here so far and hope to continue to be motivated to challenge myself to do more physically. Thanks for being here!
