Guest guest
Well, it is a hernia, and it is problematic. Doctor wanted to operate this coming Monday, but with my school schedule, I don't think a week will be enough recovery time for me to be able to carry the backpack and all the sundry that goes with college life. So, I've opted to put it off until the first part of July unless things change drastically. I'm going to make him do the mons " thing " and give me a boob removal when we do the hernia repair. Poor Dr. K! He was so disgusted and angry with himself. He said, " you must be very sick of me and my operating skills. " I almost fell over. How could I be tired of the man who saved my life? He blames himself for the hernia and all the other complications I've had. What a man! I told him that none of this was his fault, it's just the family curse - if it can be simple, for my family and medicine, it won't. I really, really felt bad for him. He was beating himself up all over the place. Dr. K looked at the surgery report and said he had put in " dissolvable " mesh, and that is part of the hernia problem. I didn't know they had dissolvable mesh!!! He will put in permanent mesh next time. I met Ron, and he was much more than I expected! He must be 8 feet tall! I had a great conversation with his mum while he was enduring the drain pull. I also met the two Randys and Debbi from Concord. The office was packed so my appointment was 90 minutes late. So, I kibitzed for about 90 minutes before they " called my name. " I went over to see the inmates, but dang it all, everyone was either sleeping (like Bobbe) or out of their room. SO, I saw Bobbe sawing logs but didn't awaken her. I thought about doing the Prince Charming thing, but figured the shock would kill her. LOL OK, that's about it. If you read this, Dr. K, you're still my hero and always will be. Jim
