Guest guest
Today was a rest day on the rotation calendar but, since I had extra time for once I took advantage of it to do some yoga. I really debated trying a virgin yoga workout but I didn't have time to waste on something I wasn't going to be sure would do the trick for me so instead, I went with Yoga Complete for Every Body. I started with a 35 minute or so general practice. It was nice but when she got to the savasana I was surprised and not ready to quit. My hips were very sore from all the squats, lunges and leg presses with heavier weights from yesterday and I wanted a lot more for them especially so instead of the savasana I went back to the menu and picked the feet, hips, legs, whatever practice from the beginner menu for another 25 minutes or so. That one had some of the same segments I'd just done in the general practice but it was fine with me! It felt even better the second time through and I could see a huge improvement in my flexibility too. I did the savasana for this one and it was the left & right one (breathe in through the left side of the body, exhale on the right). It was great. When I got done I felt incredibly relaxed. It was all wonderful and my hips felt so much better! I previewed part of one other yoga video and all of another while I ate lunch this afternoon and now have one I didn't think I'd be interested in that I want to try and one I thought I'd be interested in I'm not sure about! I'm going to try and do one of them on my next rest day (this coming Wednesday). I'm super tired now, it has been a very busy day since that workout and tomorrow is even more so but it is also a workout day on the rotation so I am going to do my best to get it in. I think I have time around 3:30 or 4 tomorrow afternoon... I hope so anyway because I'm gone, except for a quick lunch, from 6:30 AM until at least 3 tomorrow and then probably going out again (to scrapbook at least, not to run around like a chicken with no head) at 6:00 PM! Tomorrow is Body Sculpt which I know I've done, I think I remember liking it a lot but it is almost an hour long so that is going to make it really challenging to fit in. I thought about just doing it today instead but I knew my body really needed the yoga so I did that and am still glad I did, just hoping I can stick to the schedule tomorrow though!
