Guest guest
G.T.Dave's uses organic so one would think that your choice of organic would not be the problem (although I wouldn't know what the problem is) From: tris_in_blue <Trisinblue@...> Subject: Crisis--advice needed! kombucha tea Date: Saturday, March 13, 2010, 6:41 PM Â Hi, everyone. I have been having major trouble with my kombucha the last few months--maybe because it's been so cold here (house temperature has been in the 60s, but sometimes drops to the high 50s at night). The SCOBY's have been very thin but even worse, the tea just doesn't taste good--like watery vinegar. I tried a heat pad, but that made even worse tea, even when I put a paper towel on top so it wouldn't get too hot. Tried getting new SCOBY's but that didn't work either. I really don't know what to do at this point, other than move to a warmer climate. LOL. Could it possibly be the tea I'm using (organic green tea)? (I'm using organic white sugar.) I've been making kombucha for several years, and have never had a problem like this before. Any advice would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks so much!
