Please help Betsy and write a note of support in the comments section of the news article.. It is being read by the Houston Board of Education!!She had all the documentation necessary from an MD to give exception to the compulsory attendance rule for her son.. Her arraignment is July. Some of us advocates will be in the courtroom and supporting her. The Truancy Office of the Houston County School Board made a horrible mistake-- and this was abuse of power by someone as retaliation. She advocated for special ed students in her county-- and they wanted her to keep quiet.. This is what she got -- a truancy charge- pure retaliation. Her husband has served honorably in Iraq -- please send a note of support- and her arrest was while he was overseas
