mizeeki,

I have a couple of questions for you based on a lightbulb moment that I had a

couple weeks ago for myself:

Who does deserve to be naturally slender? Is there some reason that you can

think of that someone would deserve to be naturally slender? What should they

be, do, or have to make them deserving of being naturally slender?

Is there some reason that you do not deserve to be naturally slender? What are

you being, doing, or having that causes you not to deserve this? What would you

need to be, do, or have to make you deserving of being naturally slender?

When I asked myself these questions I couldn't come up with any valid answers. .

.. that led me to the conclusion that I deserve to be slim, fit, and healthy as

much as anyone else. So I deserve it because I want it. Maybe my thought

process will help you too.

struck a chord with me when was going through the questions. When I asked

myself " Do I feel like I deserve to be naturally slender? " I realized that I

didn't. In fact, I've had many instances in my life where I sabotage my efforts

because I feel like I don't deserve to be happy.

How could you TELL that you didn't feel like you deserved to be happy?

Hi everyone... my name is Judy and I am new to this forum. I'll introduce

myself in a separate post.

Your original post totally resonates with me. The key word is " deserve " , and

not the word after it.. the word after it could be anything. I have the same

issue. I believe my problems are that sub-consciously I don't believe I

" deserve " anything good...health, happiness, slimness, etc. etc. It is very

deep rooted from when I was a child and I finally at the age of 54 am coming to

realize that if I ever intend to get healthy, happy and slim, I have to get over

this.

The even deeper issue I have learned, is to completely love and accept myself.

Then I will feel deserving of everything and anything my heart desires. I am

reading a wonderful book entitled " You can Heal Your Life " by Louise Hay. I

feel that the combo of Inside Outside Weight Loss and working through the You

Can Heal Your Life workbook is my answer. It's up to me to listen, read and

journal and just plain do the work.. But, I think I am onto something!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Judy
