Guest guest
We are supposed to be right now, but we had to quit because the stomach issues were getting to be too much. He was doing well with it until that awful stomach flu and then that was followed immediately by the next IVIG reaction and we've been unable to get him back on them without major tummy issues. Guest guest
We have just started doing this. We started SubQ in December and it's taking awhile to build up, i guess. The baby had sinusitis, bronchitis, double ear infections over and over again. We were on anitbiotic anyway because of all of this so they just asked us to go on amoxi for the next three months. I agree though about the tummy troubles....he has had diarrhea since we started it. We are fighting a wicked diaper rash that we can't seem to get ahead of and now it is yeast. We are still evaluating b/c he seems to finally have kicked the sinus stuff, chest stuff and the ears finally cleared up.....so maybe it's a trade off for him? We are still figuring this out! Guest guest
You can kill the yeast in 3 days flat by painting his butt purple with gentian violet. Cost about $2 at a drug store, small little bottle. Just apply it with a q-tip or cotton ball but be aware, it will stain what ever it touches including skin for several days. Nystatin just feeds the yeast with its sugar base. We fought horrible yeast rashes for months and once I found out about the GV and tried it we switched. It knocked the yeast every time quickly (antibiotics would cause the rashes). ________________________________ From: Steltz <kmay77@...> Sent: Fri, January 21, 2011 2:54:53 PM Subject: RE: Another question about treatment We have just started doing this. Guest guest
Thanks! I have not heard of this! We will head to the drug store tomorrow! I can get it at like a regular CVS? Is this considered homeopathic (what aisle? vitamins, meds etc)? Kim From: bluetaelon@... Guest guest
The pharmacy will order it for you, if they don't have it. It is usually behind the counter. We have lots of pictures of our kids with the purple mouths when they were young **and the stains DO NOT COME OUT** dark-colored or old clothes work well!!! because when the skin gets damp again, the stains continue to come off for quite awhile. Guest guest
It does come off skin... eventually lol:) I did figure out that Softscrub with bleach toilet cleaner will take it off counter tops and porcelain sinks. My youngest dumped out a whole bottle all over the bathroom. Friend suggested the toilet cleaner and it works. Might work on clothes too, never tried it but guessing it would bleach them so that would be just as bad. ________________________________ From: " mindy@...
