Guest guest
's IOWL is to free your mind, and your body will follow. Ex: Do you believe you can be fit & slim? If not, why not? THAT is your limiting belief. Here's an example I used yesterday. I was running & my knee started to hurt. I started thinking, " Oh no, my knee hurts. I'm prone to shin splints. Now my knee. I remember when I couldn't finish a run last week. " My limiting belief was that I can't run because I'm prone to leg pain. I identified my limiting belief, I questioned it, and decided to change it. So I tried relaxed intent. " I intend to run with no knee or shin pain. " But that wasn't positive; it has to be stated as a positive. I tried again. " I intend to have comfortable legs, happy legs. " Over & over I told myself. And, just like that, the pain receded, then went away. Maybe by believing I would have a comfortable feeling in my legs when I ran, I ran with a lighter impact, or maybe the pain centers adjusted themselves to my beliefs. But it worked. It really was a nice pain-free fun run. So, like I can change other limiting beliefs: I don't like to sweat, I have fat genes, it's harder to lose weight at my age, I don't have time, or money, or energy, I hate tracking my food, etc. What are your limiting beliefs? How have you turned them around?
