Good Morning All!!

At least it's still morning here on the west coast...I thought I would share a

wonderful quotation from the Dalai Lama about dealing with anxiety and building

self-esteem and hopefully it can remind all of us our potential to be our best

selves!!! :)

" One thing in general that we could point out to [non-Buddhist] people is that

we are gifted as human beings with this wonderful human intelligence.  On top of

that, all human beings have the capacity to be very determined and to direct

that strong sense of determination in whatever direction they would like to use

it.  There is no doubt of this.  So if one maintains an awareness of these

potentials and reminds oneself of them repeatedly until it becomes part of one's

customary way of perceiving human beings-including oneself-then this could serve

to help reduce feelings of discouragement, helplessness, and self-contempt. "

And...

" So long as we know and maintain an awareness that we have this marvelous gift

of human intelligence and capacity to develop determination and use it in

positive ways, in some sense we have this underlying mental health.  An

underlying strength, that comes from realizing we have this great human

potential.  This realization can act as a sort of built-in mechanism that allows

us to deal with any difficulty, no matter what situation we are facing, without

losing hope or sinking into self-hatred. "

I want to wish each and everyone of you a happy and relaxing day!!  May we all

find our inner strength and love and appreciate our capacities as human beings!!

Peace to you all!-! :)
