Guest guest
So I made some Spontaneous Kombucha from some vinegar I made a few months ago. I think it is the same as other Kombucha I have tasted. Although I havent tasted it yet, It has a SCOBY, and smells like Kombucha. Im going to taste it when the SCOBY gets a little bit thicker. Its been 'brewing' for a little less than a month now. Here is how I made the Vinegar: CLEAN 2 litre soda bottle 1 1/4 cups white sugar Bowl of water Hand Towel more water Funnel 1: Leave a bowl of water out on the porch with the towel over it for a week (this will collect the Wild native yeast) 2: Move the Yeast water from step 1 into the soda bottle with the funnel 3: Pour the sugar into the soda bottle, Put cap on and shake vigorously 4: fill up the soda bottle with more water until it only has 2 inches from the top 5: Screw the cap Back on, but not too tight (You should be able to squeeze the bottle and have a small amount of air leaking through the cap) 6: Wait a month until it gets very vinegary with no more bubbles coming up. Now it is ready to use AND THIS IS HOW I MADE THE KOMBUCHA 1: Brewed Tea and sugar like normal 2: Wait until tea cools 3: Add tea to brewing vessel, then add alot of the Wild Vinegar 4: Put Breathable lid on 5: Wait until SCOBY Forms 6: Its Done If anyone would like to try to replicate my Spontaneous Kombucha Id like to hear how it went Remember that Wild Yeast is different from everywhere and you may get different results because of that.
