Guest guest
Hi - My Husband was hospitalized Monday with sever flank pain on his left side. Cat scans showed it was not a Kidney stone but his adrenal gland hemmoraged. This is very rare and worrisome. We were just diagnosed poz 11/1/11 and he's likely had it much longer than I have judging by his counts. For months he's been complaining of lower back pain near his kidneys which he said pretty much went away once the gland burst. He started Complera almost 2 weeks ago now- the gland bust a week to the day. Though our ID dr doesn't seem to think the medicine is linked to the issue. I'm just really concerned and worried. I don't know what we should be doing in the meantime to help his energy and strength. They sent him home yesterday after they said the right adrenal seemed to be functioning properly. But they didn't say it wasn't cancer which is scaring me beyond belief. All of his bloodwork has been normal which Im trying to take as a good sign but they still want him to have a followup MRI in a month to see if the mass is still there. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Any thoughts, suggestions, comments?
