Guest guest
I saw a commercial for the Royal Bank of Scotland this afternoon. It had a group of people trapped in one of those skycars that travels suspended from a line, the kind that takes passengers up a mountain. The people were panicking and this one man says he knows what to do: he took a Power of Positive Thinking class and told the people to start thinking positive thoughts and was talking and talking. This other man looks around and sees an emergency start button. He pushes it and the car starts moving. The other man says something like: "you see, I did it" Then he says, "I'm good." and this woman looks at him dreamily and says, "yes you are." I thought this really amusing since it was so much like what we have been talking about here. The man was all flash and talk while the other man actually did something, yet the talky man got credit. The point of the commercial was something to the effect of action is better than words, referring I presume to the RBS policies. Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
