Guest guest
The next Free Parent Training at Summit is on Tuesday, February 18th at 6:30pm. This week we will begin getting into Verbal Behavior and the Verbal Operants. We will begin by discussing Mand Training (requesting) for early learners. This will be geared towards parents who have children (with any disability) that are either not yet requesting (i.e., juice, cookie, water, push me, come here, etc.) or are not requesting at an appropriate rate (i.e., thousands of times per day). We will cover teaching requesting skills to learners who are nonvocal (i.e., use sign or PECS), those who are vocal, but do not echo on request, those who can request but not clearly articulate, and those that can readily echo but are not requesting enough. We will be watching some videos of how to teach these skills. Please call and RSVP if you would like to attend. **I regret that there will be NO CHILDCARE at this meeting. Your child is welcome to come if they are easily amused with other activities (i.e., watching a movie, playing with toys, etc.) We can keep your child within view of our meeting. Shauna , M.Ed.
