Guest guest Posted June 3, 2007 Report Share Posted June 3, 2007 Well, it seems the retainers are a difficult thing for most teens to contend with. Oldest son, 24, would take his out while sleeping and not realize it. His teeth look okay, not as good as they did. Next son, just 21, quit wearing his also, he ended up having some type of appliance put on his top teeth for a few months then back to a retainer, cost wasn't too horrendous. Daughter,18, is pretty consistent as yet. I have niece and nephew also around the ages of my 2 oldest, 1 stayed with it, the other didn't.
