Guest guest Posted November 13, 2007 Report Share Posted November 13, 2007 I've written here a bit off and on about my 11 yo's stuggle with ocd these last 9 months or so. I tend to write when things are looking good because that's when things are functioning well here and I have time to write and I'm feeling hopeful so I share. But more often than not, our good spells have not lasted long and we are back to struggling. It was with a lot of thought that we decided to try Zoloft for my dd. She just wants to feel normal and I just need to see my happy girl come back. We need some normalcy back in our family. She's been taking it for about 2 weeks. She has started at 20 mg. I am wondering how long it took other people to notice that it was working and also what dosage has worked for their children. I realize it is early yet but I am wondering what is typical. Thanks. When she was first showing symptoms of ocd we started on Zoloft for about 30 days. AT that time I did not think it was helping at all but after stopping it, her anxiety level certainly went up.
