Owing to cuts in the UK I am no longer able to get

Acetylcarnitine on the NHS, I won't bore everyone with the

details suffice to say that I am now being told that it has

no proven clinical efficacy in order to justify removing it

for financial reasons. So thank heavens for the New York

Buyers club!, Buying a product made in the EU and having it

sent from the USA is proving cheaper than buying it within

the UK or even within the EU and by a very significant

margin.

I think there is enough evidence to show it works and works

well for PLWHIV, especially those of us living with

Neuropathy and/or who have lived with HIV for a long time

and are no longer in the first flush of youth and prone to

premature ageing. These are all issues clinicians are aware

of but are not joining up the dots.
