Just started listening...

I've listened to the first few podcasts and am really excited about starting on

this adventure! When I listened to the one about where I am now - the what do

you think you will be like in five years question made me sob! I don't want

what I see coming! Then I was caught by surprise listening to the guided

journey to getting what you want. I don't remember what the question was, but

it was towards the end. I was going along LOVING the imagery. Then...in

response to one of the questions...my mind screamed out YOU CAN'T LOSE

WEIGHT!!!!! I was unable, at this point, to get past that...

Obviously this is something I need to get past!!!

I am in my 60's, married and have 9 grandchildren. I have been a caregiver for

my mother this last year and lost both mom and dad in the past 2 years. I also

babysit daily for my grandchildren. I seem to have put my life on hold. I

started listening to the podcasts a few weeks ago. It also scared me to see

what was coming 5 years down the road. I am hoping to get my life under

control. I hope it will help knowing others are going through this too program

too.

Hi tswove,

I don't think you had to actually say that you have put your life on hold

as it's quite evident. What are you able to do that is just for you? How

many kids do you watch?

I'm a beginner too. The picture of me 5 years from now was certainly a wake-up

call for me too - as was the side-on photo of me that a friend sent recently

(ouch!). I have also been my last priority in recent years. Now its our turn.

Hi Corinna,

Thanks for responding. I have watched my little grandaughter since she was born

and she will be going to kdg in the fall. She is a delight. I also watch my

other grandaughter who just turned four a few times a week. During school, my

husband and I pick up her 2 brothers from school and have them till their

parents get off work. I do enjoy the grandchildren but I'm too tired to do

anything else when they leave. My husband and I like to take walks when we can.

I don't do much by myself. I have been thinking of looking into joining Curves

if they are still in business. What about you. What do you do that is just for

you?
