Hello,Just wondering if anyone has ever found any written guidelines for restraint procedures? We don't have any specific concerns but think that it is best to have very very clear guidelines on restraints should they be needed in our home program.  This is to protect our son and the tutors.  Now that he is getting bigger, I think it is worth writing them out to make sure that everyone agrees on the methods to be employed should he need to be restrained or escorted with physical assistance. Do LSA's have guidelines on restraint procedures for their children?

I've looked through the net and just can't find anything that is even remotely appropriate and when I try to write them myself they sound ridiculous and either too prescriptive or too vague.

Thanks for any pointers (and PLEASE don't take this an invitation to open a discussion on the ethics of restraint, etc.  I am only referring to restraint in the instance that my son might either be a danger to himself or others or when he is trying to escape what he perceives to be a stressful situation).

Thanks
