For months we tried all the usual antifungals including Diflucan (fluconozole) pills, Nystatin wash, Mycelex troches and nothing knocked it out. Finally one day I was talking with my sister and she said " Isn't what you have just a yeast infection? Why not try my [normally-vaginal] douche? " I was willing. She used " Nature's Cleanse® Feminine Wash " http://www.melaleuca.com/ProductStore/Product.aspx?sku=138 I gargled with it, being as careful as I could not to swallow any, for two days. Oh my it was foul! BUT, it knocked out my oral candidiasis by day 2. YMMV. For about the past six months, he has had black hairy tongue or Candidasis. Sometimes the condidtion appears to get better, sometimes worse, but never clears up.
