Guest guest
Well I never did get in yoga or a gentle workout yesterday. I did walk to Target and back ( a mile) and I pulled everything out of my closet, ripped out the carpet and took a crow bar to the carpet strip so it wasn't exactly a lazy day either. I was intending to do some PM yoga after dinner, but I threw my dinner up (soup). So my migraine just got the best of me yesterday. I also rashed out on my chest and neck which is my Fibro's way of telling me to chill out. Today I walked to breakfast and then to Petsmart and back carrying kitty supplies (mile and a half). I'm going to rest for about an hour and then walk to a nearby park to check it out. Its in the middle of the ghetto so I'm probably in for a disappointment, but I have to give it a try in case it is workable for me. The walk is 3/4 of mile from here maybe more and the trail is a mile. So if it does work I can walk the trail 2-3 times and get in a mile and half on the way back as well whenever the weather is nice like today. Tonight I want to try Body Pump. I took a few live classes a couple of years ago, so it will be interesting to see the instructor DVDs. But since I was so sick last night I'm going to play it by ear and try not to be upset if I have to scale it back some. I also plan on doing more cleaning organizing and decluttering today. I realized it was time to sell my VHS collection on craiglist so I will have to prep for that. I'll sell everything but my Taebo workouts which I eventually need to figure out how to transfer to DVD without buying expensive equipment. When Terry gets back we'll list the elliptical and the inversion table, so I should be able to recoup most of what I spent on the exercise bike, which I think will get way more use. My goal is to ride it 26.2 miles at once by the end of summer. Weight is back down to 163 from my highest ever of 170. For the last few years I hovered on my average of 155. I hope to be back there by the end of April and then knock it down some more. I think the fact that I have been more consistent than normal with strength training and have lessoned my cardio has actually helped me. It also seems to help me appetite wise. Current pant size 10 (tight) 12 loose. I have a huge pile of size 8 and size 6 clothes from just a year ago harrasing me whenever I walk into the closet.....which was all day yesterday. a
