Just wanted you to know that I am hurting for you, your mom, and your dad. Thank you Tricia, Dad has had it really rough for about over a month now, the vicodin really isn't relieving the pain so I am hoping they can find something that will and a way for his clarity to be restored. Guest guest
Oh dear Beth, I am so sorry to hear your dad is not doing well. Does the Vicodin help to relieve the pain? Have you though about Morphine (Fentanyl) patches? So sorry I can't help to answer your question. Just wanted you to know that I am hurting for you, your mom, and your dad. Love you hon, Tricia -- OT but need help with this question Hi,I know some of you have had to take pain pills due to the arthritis. My Dad has cancer and is in a lot of pain--- over the last few weeks the Dr's. have upped his vicodin to 750 mg. every 4 to 6 hours. He has steadily lost more and more of his balance and is so "out of it most of the time it is unreal". We have a call into the Dr. as today his balance is much worse , but I was wondering if any of you had or know anyone who had dealt with a reaction like this.Thank you, Beth . Guest guest
Hi Beth: I know that is a large dosage of Vicodin but wouldn't he be better with a better pain medication especially for something as painful as Cancer? I have been on opiates for almost 7 years now and I still have bad pain and I don't have cancer but Severe arthritis! Trish as for the Fentynal patches that I started last week, I put my second one on yesterday and I am just as sick as I was prior to that. Called the Doc today and she told me to take the patch off and go back to the morphine pills. I got really sick on the patches and have spent the past three days in and out of the bed and bathroom and lost four pounds to boot.
