Just getting started

Hi Everyone! My name is and I am from Athens, Al. I joined this group a

little while back and have been listening to the podcasts but I put off

introducing myself (not sure why). Anyway, I am going to be celebrating my 30th

birthday in about 6 months and for years now I've been telling myself that I am

going to lose weight by my 30th birthday, but nothing has happened. SO, this

week I have started my " lose 30 lbs. by my 30th birthday challenge " . And I need

suppport, lots of it, and that brings me here. I am currently 5' 7 " and 248 lbs.

Eventually I want to lose 100 lbs. but I figured this mini-goal is a good place

to start. I have been overweight all of my life but I gained the majority of it

during my 3 pregnancies. I have a few challenges...I'm a stay at home mom, I

have a very busy schedule, I have no convenient sources of exercise, I'm on a

tight budget, my family is full of picky eaters and I have hypothyroidism. I am

an emotional eater, I eat when I am bored, I have a sweet tooth (which is a

curse!) and I just love food in general. Not to mention, I have no will power.

So with that said, I am open to advice and suggestions. I need all the help I

can get!
