At least in vitro...http://www.ergo-log.com/in-vitro-study-vitamin-D-helps-muscle-cells-grow.html I take 4000 IU per day to not only increase my vitamin D to help my bones but also improve my parathyroid hormone, which is affected by tenofovir (Viread, Truvada) that is responsible for calcium balance needed for bone strength and growth. I also strongly believe in the immune benefits of Vitamin D. Regards, VergelPoWeRUSA.org
