Guest guest
Hi, I'm seeking some advice on insurance denial for IVIG. We are lucky that my son has mild immune system irregularities, I guess, although he seems to be quite affected by them. He is always sick - I wrote on here a couple weeks ago with the details - but his IGG numbers are in the low/normal range. I mean on the border of not normal in every category. But his major problem is with antibody formation - he does not form antibodies to vaccines he has had, nor did he pass the trial we gave him where we gave him a new vaccine and tested his response. This is probably why he is sick a lot and with frequent recurring infections. Surely there is something going on. Two physicians are recommending IVIG treatments for a period of time to see if it will help him. Insurance denied their pre authorization request stating his IGG numbers are in the normal range. Has this happened to anyone else? To what result? Btw, we have an anthem blue cross ppo plan? Thanks for your help. .. <http://geo./serv?s=97359714/grpId=103915/grpspId=1705061104/msgId= 47219/stime=1271994424/nc1=3848642/nc2=4025373/nc3=5733757>
