I just did this for I think, the 4th time now. I actually liked it today. I didn't get nearly as much of a calorie burn as I would have thought I did for as hard as I worked but one thing I did do was let my heart rate stay in the mid to upper 150s for a lot longer than normal in an effort to build my endurance at higher intensity level. I normally try to keep it close to but not over 150. Not sure if this is necessary or not for fitness though. I mostly wanted to see how it would go. It was very hard especially because the room was very warm but I did well overall. I hadn't planned to do it, I just kept looking at my HRM and seeing 155, 157 and said, hmmm... and thus was born a mini challenge. I might change my settings on my HRM next time I do this one so that the upper number is 160 and see how long I'm in my zone then. It is set for 133-150 now and I was in it for about 17 minutes I think, but a lot of the time I was well beyond it. Anyway, beyond all that, I'm getting better at the choreography and muscle memory actually took over a little bit. I was able to get into my "this is hard but just focus" for some of it too which felt great. I'm still not sure I want to give Maximum Cardio Burn 3 or 4 chances (after 2 I hated it more) and Cardio Sculpt Blaster, the other one I discovered I'm not liking a bit, comes up one more time in this rotation so I will try it again but we'll see what happens to it after that. Life is too short to spend it trying to learn difficult choreography if I'm not enjoying the challenge or anything else about the workout! :-)

Today's the last full day of school. I'm ready but not. Our school closes tomorrow. The teachers have to have their rooms emptied by the end of next week. It is going to be strange and sad but there's a lot to look forward with the newness of next year too and first, there is summer.

Hi !Good job! I may do this one tomorrow - my plan is either this one, 's BSS3 workout or 's Super Body Sculpt? I can't keep the names of these workouts straight.

I hear you on the school year-end. It is a bittersweet event, probably more so with the closing of your school.

Oh - not like I'm a HR expert, but I have heard that the 220-age (is that the formula??) is not necessarily a good indicator for fit people. I think you have to take your fitness level into account and you can probably go higher than the 220-age range for your target. I'm sure Judy, Darcy, or Tonya can pop in w/ more info on that.

Take care!Donna

Hi Donna!

Thanks! I'll look forward to seeing what you end up doing! I can't keep the names straight either!!!

I pick up Miriam on Thursdays for dance so I went early today and said goodbye, tearfully, to one of the secretaries who has been a good friend to so many of us and a wonderful help to all the children. She might end up at our new school, which would be awesome, but she wasn't sure. Tomorrow might be easier, I probably won't be at the school. Sigh.

I did hear that, probably here, about the age thing. If anyone wants to give me advice for resetting my heart rate range for cardio training I'd love to hear it. My Polar F6 has something on it called "Ownzone" that I guess will figure out your zone but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it!
