What did you accomplish this week? Were able to achieve your intentions?

Anything that you are proud of that you did? What are your intentions for NEXT

week?

Me? Well, I am taking it day by day...hoping that next week will be better than

this week. LOL I have been trying to sort of stick to a naturally slender

eating habit, but I am finding that I am eating WHAT I want...little by

little...then, NOT eating what is good for me :( Oh well, portion control is

better than NO control, I guess. LOOL

Good questions!

I'm happy to report that ate in a naturally slender way most of the week. I'm

only overeating when I come home from a night of drinking (1x this week) and

when I go out to eat. So I've limited my trouble situations to those! My

intentions for moving forward are to continue to focus on eating things that

will make me feel good over time and treating myself well so I can continue to

be productive and enjoy school, work, and socializing!

Ideas for limiting binges after a night of drinking and when with friends (this

is easier, typically) but whenever alcohol is involved its definitely tougher!

Have others found the same thing?

I just finished a week of emotional eating. My intention for this week

is to feel hunger. Even once, and it will be an improvement over this

week!

  • 3 weeks later...

I am still working on this issue but I wanted to write and say that it is

improving and share why/how I believe it is... I went out quite a bit this

weekend and drank quite a bit (not quite in line with losing weight but I wanted

to have fun in a college town and thats the way I wanted to do it!). Anyways,

after a night of drinking, I was with tons of boys in their young 20s (my age)

and they wanted to get the most calorie dense sandwiches EVER. I ordered one

because I knew I'd want some of theirs if I didn't, and I ate it slowly and only

ate half! I just focused on enjoying my time with my friends and of course one

of the boys ate the other half no questions asked. so evening though I consumed

about a million calories that day, I could have consumed a million and 500 more

(I swear that whole sandwich would have been a ton) so ultimately every small

change helps! I'm excited because I value hanging with my friends so knowing I

can do it in moderation is exciting.

I also know that one of the reasons I was eating before was I would come home

from a night of drinking with friends to an empty house and feel lonely.

Typically when I feel lonely I beat myself up for feeling that way and when I'm

drinking its easy to give in an soothe myself with food. The incident with

friends was much easier because I stayed with friends and therefore was going to

sleep in a room filled with people. Moving forward I'd like to further try to

figure out ways to soothe my loneliness or simply just experience it without

eating. The feeling is transient and not real, meaning, I have tons of great

people in my life. Just no man as of yet...

Hope others are finding new ways to deal with this. The water idea is a good one

too! Moving forward I plan to just limit my drinking for a while to pretty much

nothing. I don't have any events planned and its healthier anyways. :)

Congrats! Isn't it such a good feeling to know that we can make these changes

if we WANT:). I can totally relate bc last night my hubby drank half of one of

my Mountain Dews and left the rest in the fridge for me. NORMALLY, I would have

jumped on it, but I remembered that I wanted to drink only water for the rest of

the night and I decided that I would ENJOY it more this morning instead! The

result? I didn't feel bloated or yucky when I woke up! So, you go girl!! We

are all there with you making small changes and feeling our victories with you!!

Congrats and keep us posted!
