Hello everybody,

I took my son to the dentist yesterday, once again he didn't open his mouth,

paralysed with fear!Because he will be 17 soon, the dentist told me that she

would refer him to the another dentist, which is fine for me,perhaps this one

will have a chance to examine him. However the dentist warned me that he may need

sedation, yes she is right how they can look at his mouth if he doesn't open his

mouth?

5 months ago he had a major dental operation and lost two teeth already. They are

not treating root canal problems so we have to look after his teeth very

well. The dentist told me there are three options;. either examining him under

the anaesthesia or giving the sedation drug intravenously or giving an oral

sedation which is bucozolam...sorry misspell, this is the emergency medication

used for seizures)..So the last option perhaps I may consider. But I am looking

for strong natural sedation or some anxiety healer supplements or natural

herbs..WE used some Helios remedies in the past (sorry Tracey, most of them

didn't work for us!) Rescue remedies..it worked during a flight perhaps the

alcohol contents did the job! All those vitamin Bs he has been on doesn't help

to calm him down when the dentist visit happens..

So, my question is this;does anyone know a herbal product or a supplement that I

can give a chance before the strong possibility of medical sedation will be put

in practice?

Thanks..

Nevin
