Guest guest Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 Hi Todd and EveryOne, Not exactly the same but I once had a bottle of finished KT fermenting slowly in the fridge and when I took it out it didn't taste like vinegar, or Kombucha, but more like a dry white wine....I never could figure out why and it has not happened again. The other day I went to my friend's house to get a scoby and liquid from his hotel to boost my brew, and despite his having left his hotel out in the spring/summer for a few months, it had a very pleasant smell to it. He said it had just reverted back to a cidery smell from vinegary recently.
