Dear Yoly,

It's strange, because you have subscribed to the digest form (I checked).

It may just take a little while for to catch up. It would not be the

first time. ;-)

This gives you a bit of an idea how it can be done.

Basically, it is a mixing of the squeezed out scoby juices with either

vinegar or strong alcohol - the latter added to preserve the former.

A workable way of doing the squeezing is with a sterile cheese cloth in which

scoby is placed and then 'wrung' out into a clean container.

I make St 's Wort tincture by adding the flowers to a brown glassfull

of vodka or other clear liquor and keep adding the flower through the season.

When season is over, I let the whole lot pass through a coffee filter and,

hey presto, the tincture is done.

That's just a little pointer to get you going.

I'm sure, you can make it more complicated if you wish! ;-)

with a smile,

Margret:-) in very sunny and warm England
