It would not be the first time. ;-) > I would like to find out how to make my own Kombucha drops and also > tincture. > > Can anyone help me? http://www.happyherbalist.com/kombuchad1dropshomeopathicliquid.aspx This gives you a bit of an idea how it can be done. Basically, it is a mixing of the squeezed out scoby juices with either vinegar or strong alcohol - the latter added to preserve the former. A workable way of doing the squeezing is with a sterile cheese cloth in which scoby is placed and then 'wrung' out into a clean container. I make St 's Wort tincture by adding the flowers to a brown glassfull of vodka or other clear liquor and keep adding the flower through the season. When season is over, I let the whole lot pass through a coffee filter and, hey presto, the tincture is done. That's just a little pointer to get you going. I'm sure, you can make it more complicated if you wish! ;-) with a smile, Margret:-) in very sunny and warm England -- +------------------ Minstrel@... --------------------+ http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk/family/scobygrow/home.html http://bavarianminstrel.wordpress.com creation.com J E S U S - no other name under heaven by which we must be saved ..
