Guest guest
Hi all-- For those over 50, a survey on HIV & Aging:Date: Sun, 25 Mar 2012 16:14:15 -0700 From: joshmatacotta@...To: aginghivgooglegroups Subject: [CHARPA] HIV & Aging Dissertation Research Hi Group. I am really hoping to get some help or support with recruiting for my dissertation study. It was the Catalyst Forum I attended in Baltimore in 2009 that propelled me into the direction I've gone for my doctoral dissertation research. I was awarded a scholarship to attend the Forum, and I wanted to give back by focusing my research on the issue of HIV & Aging. A little about my dissertation research: I am looking at factors that contribute to health-related quality of life in HIV-positive, gay-identified men aged 50 and older. In an effort to understand some of the challenges encountered and the coping mechanisms employed by these individuals, I am looking for volunteer participants to complete a brief, completely anonymous online survey (average time 12 minutes). I am a doctoral candidate at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. My graduate school’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) has approved this final research project as part of my requirement to earn the doctoral degree. Also, I am doing my predoctoral clinical psychology internship at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. It is one of only two polytechnic universities in the California State University system. If you would kindly consider reviewing the study information, I would greatly appreciate it. I am happy to provide any additional information you may need or answer questions. I can be reached by email or telephone at (415)335-6746. I have posted the links in this post for your review. I am happy to provide a PDF copy of the flyer for posting or distribution in a subsequent email upon request if you would like it and feel comfortable supporting this dissertation research.
