Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new to this group. I have a 14-year old son with autism who has IgG and IgM deficiency. He has been receiving monthly IVIG for two years. My son experiences head pain during the IVs, even though we take six to ten hours to complete the IV. Typically the pain is managed with IV Toridaly during the IV. I wondered if anyone else's child experienced this. If so, how do you manage the head pain during the IVs? Does your child ever experience residual head pain during the 24 to 48 hours after the IV? Recently it seems as though he has head pain between the IVs, which is a new development for us. Has anyone experienced this with their child? My son had his last IVIG treatment ten days ago, and has had increased head pain ever since. Doctors are helping us manager the pain. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their child. Thank you, Feel free to contact me off line if you prefer.
