Guest guest
Hi there, I posted a few weeks ago about our daughter andra and her low white count and low neutrophil count. We finally made it in to see the hematologist yesterday. I was armed with questions and was determined to make sure I left his office satisfied that we were both on the same page about . The Dr. was really quite amazing.he answered all my questions.he said yes she has very severe neutropenia.he wants to continue to watch her blood counts for another three months.if they do not improve, he wants to do a bone marrow biopsy.depending on what that reveals he talked about starting her on the GCSF (stimulates the neutrophil production). All of this sounds very scary to me, I hate the thoughts of putting her through more medical procedures.wondering about the GCSF.he said that it is subcutaneously administered about three times a week.now that sounds really awful.how are you suppose to do that??? Sue.you mentioned that your son uses this drug..how do you do it??? What are the side effect? I read that it causes bone pain. Would love some input. Thanks, Jeane Mom to andra 14 FG Syndrome, PID
