Guest guest
Tate was featured on a local sports show talking about his baseball and his CVID. ESPN had wanted to do a feature when his team was in the Regionals, but Tate was sick that day and didn't want to look like " the sick kid " so he turned them down. His teammates were unaware of his illness. Tate decided with coaching from his older brother Tanner to share his story because if it could help one kid feel like they could do more it was worth it. I'll include the link below for anyone who is interested. The story runs 3 minutes and 51 seconds. The reporter's quotes on CVID and use of the word transfusion are not exactly what we told him, but could be worse. http://www.komu.com/KOMU/8edac00d-80ce-18b5-0192-f2d3f22e05cb/2cea2b3e-80ce-18b5\ -01ad-e85c937cba0b.html Tate, 12-years-old CVID
