still way too sweet

hi all

have just done a day 9 taste and its still way way too sweet, its brewing in a

large coffee jar in a box with heat mat set at 24 (told hubby to turn it up) i

have covered the box with a towel, baby looks as if its growing well, the mother

which is still standing has white spots/bubbles growing and it smell like

vineger (5 year old commented about what the vineger smell was) and there seems

to be dark floaty bits

could i of added too much sugar (i never measure just pour)

am i too impatient?

could i split the tea between 2 jars and add more brewed tea without the sugar

or would it mess up completely?

or...........should i forget it for a few more days and turn the heat up?
