Guest guest
Hi All, I am new to this group and have been drinking kombucha on and off for about 2 years. It is my favorite drink! I was drinking a commercial brand almost daily about 1 year ago when I became pregnant with my second child. After doing some research, I cut way back to only an ounce or two a day (I was drinking up to 2 bottles per day), as many sources said it was not safe. It was the only thing that helped my nausea! Fast forward to now, I am exclusively nursing my 6 month old baby girl. I have been lucky enough to cross paths with a kind woman in a parenting group who is giving away SCOBYs, and I would like to start brewing my own kombucha. So my question is regarding safety while nursing, is it okay to drink while nursing? Should I keep the amount minimal? Do I just need to make sure I drink plenty of water as well? Either way I still intend to give brewing my own a shot, if I shouldn't ingest much of it, I'll use it on my skin or hair. I have been reading threads and it seems like many of you do this. Thank you in advance, Kindly,
