Guest guest
That is what I was thinking. Cole had his worst reaction ever to the GammaGard last month and he was at the onset of some illness at the time. The nurses at the hospital thought that worsened his reaction somehow. I asked the nurse at the immuno's office the other day when I tried to schedule his infusion for today. She called me back and said since he had a viral infection this week (cough, sore throat, stuffy nose) we should wait until next week. I scheduled it for Monday, but he is still very sick this morning. I was trying to decide if I needed to postpone it until later in the week next week. My thinking is that he needs the " boost " to kick this stuff. I don't want to wait, but I don't want him to have that severe reaction again. He was miserable and it made for a terribly long day. -Rogena > > Absolutely it will help him get over it. IF we waited until our kids are well then we could never draw labs. It could have an effect on somethings but the number is always changing so that is why they keep drawing them because it is a trend not just one lab. > > BARBIE > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Gena <rbrinks@...> > > Sent: Fri, December 11, 2009 8:02:58 AM > Subject: Is IVIG Okay During Viral Infection? > > > Is it okay to do the IVIG during a viral cold? Does the viral infection play into the reading we will get? > > -Rogena > > > > >
