Is she on gammaglobulin ? Is so then no. If she's not infusing then yes.

Is she getting SCIG or IVIG? My son's Immunologist told us while Ryder is

getting SCIG that he shouldn't get any vaccines (they are suggesting flu though

because the current SCIG doesn't all have H1N1 antibodies since it comes from

plasma donated before it was vaccinated against). They told me even if Ryder

was not on SCIG that he should not receive any live vaccines.

Vaccines are optional in nearly every state even though they make it sound

mandatory.

Hi there,

If your child does not have the ability to produce anti-bodies needed to

make the vaccines effective, should they still be vaccinated? Before school

starts, I need to address this issue even though we attend a charter

homeschool, receives special ed services at a school facility, so she

has to be vaccinated to receive the services. Just wondered what others

were doing about this with the same issues....

Thanks,

We also have medical exclusion from the Dr. Abby is hospital home bound but

before enrolling her the school wanted her to be utd on vaccines. Which I will

not do for 2 reasons. One she is Autistic, and Two she has CVID and receives

IVIG. SO the ped put Permanent Medical Exemption on her shot record.

Depends on the laws in the state. Some staff are not trained except to INSIST

that ALL kids get vaccinated. But you can look up the law on the website for the

state and see what the law REALLY states. Most states are " state " .gov so for WA

it is Wa.gov

My opinion is no your child should not be vaccinated if they cannot produce

antibodies to make the vaccine effective. What would be the point?

Additionally, you would be exposing your child to contaminants in vaccines

for no purpose. Your child qualifies for a medical exemption. Have your

doctor fill out the form and file it the same way you would his vaccine

record with the school.

e's Immunologist wrote a note on a prescription " On ImmuneGlobulin

Replacement therapy/Student diagnosed Combined Immune Deficiency Syndrome/NO

VACCINES "   We turn it in to the school nurse and principal every year, also

included in the iEP and they never have given us trouble.

Also if she goes to a school classroom, make sure the teacher/principal/school

nurse know to notify you if they give Flu Mist or Varivax or any live vaccines

during a vaccine day at school. She needs to be excused from attending school on

those days and away from those who have received the live vaccines for 5 days.

Two years ago, the nurse forgot to tell us and a few kids in the class received

FluMist...the immunologist gave e Tamiflu prophylactically.

Yes, they put aborted fetal cells in some vaxs, they are cultured it. I take it

you didn't know? I'm surprised its not more widely known, always made me wonder

why anti-abortion people (speaking in general) would push for vaccines when it

supports the very thing they are trying to stop. Makes me scratch my head.
