Guest guest
Well, we started off pretty frustrating. The first guy that tried to help me gave me the willies. We almost left altogether and said forget it after looking at the high price tags and trying to maneuver the stroller between the bikes. Well, we went outside... were thinking about going home, then remembered about the stunt show so we went back in for that. After we were able to sit and relax a bit, we decided to head over to the bikes again. DH spotted one right away for me (one that the guy never pointed out before), and then a different guy approached me and asked if I needed help. At first I said no. (I was kind of 'shy' to drive it around!), and then I reluctantly agreed. So, the bike I loved was an extra small though. At first he said it would be too small, but when I showed him which one, he thought it would be okay. He said " I'll know right away if it's too small when you get on it " . I got on it and gave it a whirl. I really liked it, and felt comfortable on it. However, I thought I needed a " small " instead of extra small. I had him get me the next size bigger to try, and honestly I couldn't tell the difference. The next size bigger, was only in black (boring for me), and it was also $60 more.. (much nicer bike). So, I ended up getting the extra small. He said I can exchange it within 30 days if it didn't feel like it fit, but it really does feel fine on me! I love the color of it.. Anyway, it's the 5.0.. The other one was the 8.0. Mine was $389 plus tax, the other was $459 (but better componets). I would have went with the more expensive one honestly if were blue.. Maybe that's terrible reason to pick out the bike for, but I loved the blue one... And I thought it felt fine..saved us $60.. I am kind of still second-guessig myself, but I think that is to be expected when you are spending so much money and want the " perfect " bike!!! http://www.hartsburgcycledepot.com/hartsburgcycledepot2009_025.htmAND, my cousin whom I'm not very close with (he lives there, we just don't see him much), gave us a little GT for Bryar!!! We asked him over and over if he wanted something for it, and he refused to take money for it. So now DH has a nice bike, myself, and the two boys!! Can't wait for spring! Heck I can't wait for it to get daylight out, an I'm going to have to take it up and down the road a bit I have a feeling DH is a tad jealous though. He got the same brand, but his isn't quite as nice as mine. (he bought it at a bike shop a couple weeks ago). Oh well, he can always sell and upgrade down the road if it's something we get into big. Darcy p.s. That link is just one I grabbed online to show the bikes...
Guest guest
Nice bike, Darcy! Yay! I don't blame you one bit about the color choice. I certainly would not have bought my bike in a color that I didn't like, either! Happy riding! Sara > > Well, we started off pretty frustrating.
