I want to Play Out.

Work Outs are tough. The very thought of MORE work, or EXTRA work, and really

going ALL OUT, makes me tired. I have a history of pushing myself Past the pain

and Past discomfort and Past tiredness. It's one reason I have all these sports

injuries and this fatigue in my mind when I think about the almighty WorkOut.

But I like to play.

I like to walk if I don't have to wear out all my energy for the day doing it.

But if it's a Play-Out, I can walk at a pace that respects how I'm feeling. I

can stop and look at spring flowers and savor a nice breeze. I can stop and

watch dogs playing and laugh. And then the spring in my step gives me a little

more speed for my walk.

I like to hoop. I'm not good at it, but if it's not a WorkOut, then Being Good

At It isn't the point! PLAY doesn't have limitations like that.

My goal is to play more. If I get the benefits of a WorkOut without working,

but by PLAYING, then that seems a lot more worth it to me.

I'll have to break the habit of driving myself like a stinkin' mule train. It

will take time and I'll slip back into that habit of chug-chug-chugging along

joylessly.

But I can do it. I can self-correct and remember to Play. Over time.

helped me to get that.

Thanks for reading!

Robbie
