Guest guest Posted May 13, 2010 Report Share Posted May 13, 2010 Today was an official rest day on the rotation schedule so after dropping the kids off at school, doing some fast grocery shopping & other errands, I still had time and used 45 minutes of it to do a general routine practice from the beginner menu of Yoga for Every Body. It was good. Not great for me today but still good. I should have done a hip routine, my hips are so tight from all the lower body this month but I wanted more than just that so I took my chances. I started out doing Eoinn Finn's Daily Dose of Bliss from Yoga for Happiness but my left hand is super sore since yesterday (tendonitis, I think, it flares from time to time, always in the heel of my hand and my thumb, definitely not arthritis pain) and whenever I put down my hand on the mat for downward dog, chaturanga, etc. my hand/thumb screamed (typing doesn't feel so great either). I haven't done Eionn's stuff in a super long time and really wanted to but I didn't think it would be a good idea to keep doing sun salutations over and over (which is what I remember from that routine) on that hand so I put in Yoga for Every Body. My hand did okay for the most part with this one, not a lot of downward dog or other pressure on it. I took some ibuprofen last night and this morning, hoping to knock out the inflammation, it usually goes way on its own in a few days, never inteferes too much with life, just an annoyance but it was more annoying today interfering with my workout choice! ;-) Tomorrow is Body Sculpt and I'm definitely looking forward to that. Hand should be fine for it, I think. My bruise on my left shin is HUGE, very colorful and I feel it whenever I put my legs down on the ground (like on a mat for table) but then it is fine. I could whine, but it wouldn't be worth the effort, all this is EASY to deal with! Off to work then an appreciation luncheon from my bosses for my Thursday team (we had really amazing sales a few weeks ago) and then an ice cream social at DD's new elementary school (for the fall) fall all incoming families (lots of us because our school closes in June). Busy, challenging food day but I also vacuumed this morning for a half hour so more calories gone! :-) (rambling on a rainy Thursday) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
